Temperature influences the rate of muscle cell differentiation. (A) Percentage of nuclei contained in GFP-positive cell structures. The muscle cells were cultured at either 10°C or 18°C. The proportion of nuclei in GFP-positive cells was determined 2, 5, 6 and 7 days post plating. (B) Percentage of nuclei contained in small multinucleated myotubes (less than 10 nuclei) or in large multinucleated syncytia (more than 10 nuclei), 7 days after plating.
