Comparison of gene expression analysis of technical replicates, through RT-qPCR, performed using automated and manual procedures. The graph reports RT-qPCR data (reported as mRNA relative quantity, mRNA RQ), performed with both manual and automated protocol of Ciona juveniles exposed to Pam2CSK4 (1 μg/ml), for 30 min, 2 h, and 4 h. The number of technical replicate for both automated and manual procedures was equal to 4. Graph do not show any statistical differences between the automated and manual procedures for all genes and at the same time-point treatment analyzed. ns: not statistically different (P > 0.05). Asterisks indicates the statistical significance between control (reported as dotted gray line) and treated samples (* P ≤ 0.05; ** P ≤ 0.01)
