Growth of AtOxR yeast transformants in response to a variety of abiotic stresses. Yeast transformants were grown on (a) YPD medium containing NaCl (0 mM, 0.7 mM, 0.9 mM, and 1 mM), mannitol (0 mM, 1 mM, 1.2 mM, and 1.5 mM), and H₂O₂ (0 mM, 4 mM, 4.5 mM, and 4.8 mM) in the presence of 2 % (w/v) galactose and (b) YPD medium containing different concentrations of the following metal ions: MgCl₂ (0.8 mM and 1 mM), MnCl₂ (1 mM and 1.5 mM), BaCl₂ (8 mM and 10 mM), CdCl₂ (160 μM and 180 μM), CuCl₂ (7 mM and 8 mM), FeCl₃ (7 mM and 10 mM), AlCl₃ (5.5 mM, 6 mM, 6.5 mM, and 7 mM) in the presence of 2 % (w/v) galactose.
