The small arrows indicate where the polyprotein is expected to cleaved at the carboxyl terminus of the 2A. The PVX6His2ACP messenger (A) will be translated either into an uncleaved polyprotein (B) or into two cleaved subunits: 6His2A and CP, respectively (C). The same holds true for the PVX6HisE212ACP (D), which could be translated into an uncleaved polyprotein (E) or into two cleaved subunits: 6HisE212A and CP, respectively (F). Either an uncleaved polyprotein (H) or two cleaved subunits (I) 6HisE222A and CP are expected to be translated from PVX6HisE222ACP (G).
