Enzyme function of knock in target. Supernatants of three clones transformed with pKOI DVL were assayed for DNase activity. Only heavy metal induced cells (+) show high levels of DNase activity. Transformed, but non-induced cells show a slightly elevated enzyme activity compared to wildtype cells due to low basal promoter activity.
