The figure indicates the locations of the divergent promoters (arrows), the exons (black boxes) and the 8.0 kb Hind III fragment that includes the 3 kb unmethylated CpG island. B. EGFP and EPO expression constructs. All constructs carried the Neor gene preceded by the SV40 promoter for selection of stable transfectants of CHO-K1 cells.
