Plasmid maps of HCMV IL-10 (pAZ1c; A) and EBV (pGA6; B) expression vectors are depicted. The artificial transporter consists of the E. coli ompF signal sequence fused in frame to E. coli codon optimized mature viral IL-10 genes under control of the T7 promoter. For subcloning, the constructs are flanked by EcoRI restriction sites. Plasmid pGA6 contains a ColE1, pAZ1c a pUC19-derived pMB1 origin of replication.
