From: Microfluidic chip-based technologies: emerging platforms for cancer diagnosis

Design of the microfluidic chip with a triangular chamber for a hydrodynamic single-cell docking and microperfusion culture. A low-density cell positioning array was fabricated in a biocompatible elastomer, polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS), and bonded to a glass substrate. The microfluidic array cytometer allowed for a gentle trapping of single live cells for prolonged periods of time. (Reproduced with permission from Ref [58]).
