From: Exogenous mRNA delivery and bioavailability in gene transfer mediated by piggyBac transposition

Mean number of red dots Mean number of yellow dots
Caveolae (Caveolin-1) 30m 9.3 (±3.5) 9.2 (±2.5)
2h 8.5 (±5.3) 6.3 (±3.6)
Clathrin-coated vesicle (Clathrin) 30min 4.4 (±1.7) 2.6 (±1.5)
2h 3.3 (±2.1) 2.3 (±1.5)
Late endosome (Rab-7) 30min 4.7 (±2) 1.1 (±0.4)
2h 7.2 (±2.6) 6 (±3.5)
  1. Red fluorescent-labeled mRNA polyplexes were observed in three green fluorescent endocytosis compartments 30 min and 3 h post-transfection. Yellow dots are obtained when there is colocalization. Each value represents the average number of detected dots for each color ± standard deviation per whole cell. Three separate experiments were performed and at least 20 cells were analysed using confocal microscopy and ImageJ software for each condition.
