Inverted repeat vectors for the endogenous expression of Sf-casp 1 dsRNA (A) and the recombinant baculovirus vectors (B). The resulting stably transfected cell lines carry a plasmid that contains an 800 bp stretch of DNA sequence of Sf-casp1 mRNA in both forward and reverse orientations, containing a spacer of 100 bp between each element. Recombinant baculovirus vectors, pBacLuc and pBacSEAP contained gene fragments encoding the luciferase and SEAP, respectively. Both genes were expressed under the control of the pPh promoter.
