Expression of multiple Ubl proteins from both bacteria and yeast in the pC-DEPC vector. (A) Western blot analysis using α-GST antibodies of yeast lysates expressing the indicated GST-fusion proteins. The designated ubiquitin-like domains (Ubls) were recombined into the pC-DEPC vector and induced with copper chloride. (B) Coomassie Brilliant Blue stained SDS-PAGE gel of GST-fusion proteins purified from bacteria (BL21(DE3)) transformed with the identical plasmids in Figure 5A.
