The 293 cells were stained with the OX34 MAb reacting with a cell surface epitope of the rat CD2 protein. The M1 and M2 cell populations are defined according to the threshold of background fluorescence. For assessment of the background fluorescence, cells were first incubated with the mouse isotype control IgG2a (instead of the OX34) and then with the secondary antibody conjugated to phycoerythrin (goat anti-mouse-PE or GAM-PE).Back to article page
